For the next few Wednesdays I thought I would write about the different programs offered to second language learners.
Today let’s look at Dual Language Programs.
According to the Oregon Department of Education – Office of Learning – Equity Unit Dual Language Programs are described as:
Also know as two-way or developmental, the goal of these bilingual programs is for students to develop language proficiency in two languages by receiving instruction in English and another language in a classroom that is usually comprised of half native English speakers and half native speakers of the other language.
